The story unfolds in the Celtic mists and
fantasies of early Briton with Arthur (Geoff Scrase), a shy king, awaiting the arrival of
his, yet unseen, Queen Guenevere (Catherine Connolly). Guenevere is a forthright and
farseeing young lady who is also apprehensive about meeting her future husband and fears
she has missed the simple joys of maidenhood. Arthur reveals himself to her
but not his identity and tells her he has heard some stories about the king but that
Camelot is not such a bad place to be. He also tells her that Merlin (Dave Lyons) is his
teacher and that because he is not a good thinker, Merlin does it for him. After the wedding Arthur forms the Round Table with a dream of civilising the
world. Lancelot (Mark Shepherd), a French knight, hears of the Round Table travels to
Camelot to join Arthurs noble cause. He falls in love with Guenevere at first sight,
tells her of his feelings and then leaves Camelot so he will not betray Arthur. However,
he cannot stay away from her beauty and beguiling personality and returns to woo her in
secret. When Mordred (Csaba Ceglidi), the shows villain, with the help of Morgan Le Fey
(Kate Ghent), reveals their romance they escape to France. Arthur reluctantly follows and
prepares to die in battle with the French.
