Brindsley, a young penniless artist, is waiting for a
visit from an important collector. To make an impression, he borrows his neighbour
Harolds antique furniture while he is away. Before he arrives a fuse blows in the
room is plunged into darkness. Matters become confused when Harold returns and Brindsley
has to replace the "borrowed" furniture in the dark without he others in the
room being aware, giving rise to a very amusing situation.
