"Just Another Christmas Tree?" is a fun
musical show about a magical, mischievous Christmas tree, that comes to life to teach a
naughty girl a few lessons in better behaviour. Our naughty girl, Harriet, is visiting her
New Zealand cousins just before Christmas, when she is spotted by Santa who is making up
his "whos been good or bad list".
Our Santa ... a pretty "dudey" sort of
Santa, is into rock bands and the like, and his "sidekicks" are a Helper who
works-out at the gym, and a Silly Elf who tells jokes all the time. He sends the tree to
work its magic, playing Harriet at her own game.
The "altered" words to recent popular
songs from groups like Backstreet Boys "Everybody"; "Just Another
Lemon Tree" by Fools Garden; and "Viva Forever" from the Spice Girls,
help give a modern slant to the show that the cast can relate to and enjoy singing and
dancing to.
Add a bit more magic with tree decorations coming to
life ...and let the story begin!
