It’s early 80’s in London, and a group of women gather at their local bath house for their weekly ritual of cleansing, relaxing, gossiping and to escape the cold of winter.

They are an unlikely group. There’s Violet who runs the bathhouse always ready with a towel and a listening ear. Mrs Meadows and her daughter Dawn are regular visitors for their weekly bath. They have no electricity and look forward to their weekly outing. Jane and her friend Nancy went to school together and are now both separated with kids at school. Josie is a colourful character who swears like a trooper and enjoys nothing better than relaying the details of her love life to the bemusement and disgust of the other women.

It’s only when the Council announce that it’s uneconomic to keep the baths open and declare that they are to be closed forthwith that the ladies’ of the Turkish get fired up with a single goal.... TO SAVE THE BATHS!!
