Jack and his mother are facing a bleak future unless they can find some money. There is no food in the house, Goosey Lucy will not lay eggs and Daisy the cow has run dry. The only solution is to sell Jack's beloved Daisy at the market. Goosey Lucy does not want to be next so she hits the road on her way to be part of New Zealand Idol 2. Jack and Daisy meet a very strange pedlar, in various guises, who convinces them to make a swap for a magic bean!
